Fuck that police department. Not working for them. Thst training is crap.
This is lovely way to live . Being able to take what is good , intimate , and cognitevly healthy and not having to have the limitations and mislead values and lack of ...medical care
Many if not all of these folks were put into institutions by their families. The history of mental health treatment is one of the abuse of people who were ill for a multitude of reasons and others who were not ill at all (just unwanted). Treatments included alcohol for sedation (prior to drug therapy), experiments that included lobotomies, hot/cold water therapies, restraints and anything else thought to help. Once drugs started to be developed, they were often trialed on the mentally ill. Like insulin coma therapy. Doses of the first anti-psychotic meds were excessively high as there was very little caution given to how these people because they were feared. So ultimately institutions were NOT a good place for most people. During the 60-70's there was a rise in the idea that people should not be doing "work" so most of the farms and working roles for patients were stopped. Worst thing for them. Taking away purpose and meaningful activity. Then it was thought that they should all be "freed" from institutions - without any transfer of finances to the community or preparation for life. This is what has led to the disaster of de-institutionalization and it is still happening in this manner into the the 21st century.
Hearing Semi Bird answer these questions has forever cured my Imposter Syndrome.
His answer on energy and climate policy is idiotic.
Cats want to say hello and hang out with you because they know you are a lovely person.
I’m a strategist I’ve taught strategy 😂. How did your strategic thinking get you 5% support?
I support Bob Ferguson
Shame on you
The same situation is at the old Millegeville GA mental health hospital. The graves were marked with numbers.Vandals pulled the markers up and threw them in the woods. A fire destroyed the records around 1920. Forgotten people... So terribly sad.
Reichert is the biggest phone in WA politics. Another career politician. Vote Bird for Governor

lol “I’m not dumb!” Bro this guy is out for blood especially towards the end of the interview. Bro can’t think about anything else than Dave Reichart
Hopefully we can vote this man into office so the state can stop behaving like our criminals are victims that are the best of us.
I LOVE this guy. AND he support Palestine! YESSSS! ☺☺☺
In those years a lot women were put on mental institutions and not having any mental health issues
He is a UNIPARTY plant hired by the DNC to help get Ferguson elected.
Too high functioning for formal services but need support- so let’s institutionalize them. WTF?
Bob is a tyrant and he needs to go away

I hear even democrats can't stand this guy.
Too old.
Most intelligent man I've met. I can't wait to vote for him. He's a man of the people, not the establishment.
beautiful
The electrical grid is dated, yes. SO, we need to update the electrical system...how?? Raise taxes????
The climate is interconnected between how we live and how we treat the environment. He framed the question around the high cost of living and the environment. Sleazy. Apply that logic to healthcare and would Bird help citizens by going after high healthcare?
He's had much experience in the healthcare field. He's very qualified for this job.
@@KidCity1985 Could you share any of his ideas about how he is going to make healthcare affordable?
@@andyroach420 no, are was replying to a woman who came to ask questions at our r LD, he stunned her, he has her vote. Email him and ask.
Reichert dodged the ball on the environmental question. "Look at my record..." while not giving any specific suggestions on how to protect or F@#ked up world
So great to hear you speak about what you will do as our next Governor of WA State!
My grandfather died there in 1953. Not knowing any of his history I gave my mom Frances Farmers biography,I sure wish I hadnt. She didnt need to know about the awful treatments.
My father and I have a grim saying, “after 3 generations no one cares” and tragically it rings true in most cases. People like you are proof of the opposite and it warms my heart. These people existed and their stories deserve to be told, however brief.
I am so proud of you Sami and young Matthew our hope for ethiopian soccer’s for future
Awwwwww he's adorable and so smart❤️❤️

I really, really want to get involved in the kind of work that John is doing: Unearthing, documenting & preserving forgotten cemeteries. Does anyone know how I might go about finding places near me (Mpls, MN) to do this work?
Although noble work , in my opinion the dead don’t care
14:27 I thought they left to go get her some tissues! 🥺🙏🏻 We can’t soak the documents with tears (I’m sure I have) 🧡
If there ever was to be the most useless job this would be it
This is a work of the heart. I understand the obsession. Thank you for the video. Thank you for the story.

Can't shake the feeling her husband gave her syphilis and didn't want to fess up to it and definitely didn't want to be a bachelor with a baby
The fact that men had the power to lock a woman away like this is horrific. If we are not careful with our votes here in the US it will be a reality again.
Lovely video! Hope more dams are removedd
I love dave explaining how things aren't working, so people should have affordable options. This guy sounds great.
Our boy is getting big.

It's really sweet that it started with his partner wanting to get him out walking more and now look at them. :')
I don’t want to forget any of these people 😭😭
As a neurodivergent out of the box type of person, her story could have been mine had I lived when she did. This makes me cry. So many lives just thrown away.
I just got sprayed in academy like an hour ago and this is absurd. Legitimately a 1 sec spray was the worst paid of my life. Cant imagine this
Fantastic❣️
